We need to show and remind those who were elected that we support them, by attending monthly meetings. We can accomplish this by rotating monthly as to share the responsibility of attending the meetings. We all have personal issues and concerns, and the new boards interest is the betterment of the Village of Somonauk. Collectively we can make a difference.

After talking with members of the Somonauk and Sandwich boards, DeKalb Co. officials and LaSalle Co. officials, President Wayne reported that a new road is being built starting in Sandwich where the old Karate Club or most recently where Our Savior’s Lutheran Church held services until there new building was completed, they will place a stop light there and continue the road to meet up with the lower portion of Gletty Road and continue to County Line Road. The northern portion of Gletty Road will be closed and most likely the stop light removed. This new road then will continue south and connect to Hoxey Road.
